As part of the products liability and commercial law practice groups, Ms. Kotler represents manufacturers and distributors of medical devices, herbal supplements and pharmaceutical products, as well as insurance service providers and corporations involved in contract disputes. She has participated in multi-district litigation involving cancer-fighting and nutritional supplements, contact lens solution and pain pumps. Ms. Kotler also has experience with cases involving implantation of allografts, and has represented, in both federal and state courts, manufacturers and distributors of such medical products as defibrillators, cochlear implants, lasers, laparoscopic devices, continuous passive motion machines, minimally invasive surgery systems for use in hysterectomies and prostatectomies, bowel cleansers, dural patches and surgical cement and glue.Ms. Kotler previously represented tire and automobile manufacturers in claims of product defect, and has experience in the field of labor and employment law, including litigating claims involving alleged violations of the California Fair Employment and Housing Act and Violations of the Labor Code. Ms. Kotler’s experience also includes assisting individuals and small to mid-sized businesses in various aspects of litigation, including sales and purchases of residential and commercial real estate, and various types of business disputes. Earlier in her career, Ms. Kotler worked at the offices of the District Attorney - both in Los Angeles and Kings County (NY), where she prosecuted felony cases. Ms. Kotler also speaks Russian fluently.
