Holiday Powell’s practice focuses on the representation of clients in product liability, toxic exposure, premises liability claims and commercial transactions and disputes. She has represented a variety of companies and individuals in a wide range of litigation matters in both state and federal courts. For example, Holiday has represented manufacturers of automobiles, sporting goods equipment, medical devices and other products against claims of breach of contract, fraud, negligence, and strict products liability throughout the United States.
Holiday’s experience ranges from the initial pleading stage through trial. She has engaged in extensive brief writing, including motions for summary judgment, motions in limine, post-trial motions and appeals, and has vast experience in all phases of discovery. Holiday has also been heavily involved in all aspects of trial, serving as the lead associate in multiple trials.
Holiday attend Loyola Law School as a Public Interest Scholar. While in law school, she served as a law clerk for the California Department of Justice, Office of Attorney General, and LAMBDA Legal Defense and Education Fund. She was also a member of the Loyola of Los Angeles International and Comparative Law Review. Prior to law school, Holiday was a fellow at the New Zealand Center for Strategy Studies, where she authored “The Road to Sovereignty in the Pacific: A Framework for Pacific Island Development Policy.” Her past experience also includes foreign policy work with the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, DC, and children's advocacy work at the Alliance for Children's Rights in Los Angeles, CA.
When she can find time, Holiday pursues a wide range of interests, including swimming, concerts, cooking and friendly poker games.
