John W. Shaw has extensive jury trial experience in a number of sophisticated matters. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). His legal experience includes state and federal court jury trials involving product liability, ski bindings, aviation (fixed wing, rotor craft and coverage), toxic exposure, wrongful death, insurance coverage and bad faith, premises liability, construction (personal injury) and work-place exposure, security guard liability, commercial transactions and disputes, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) litigation, breach of contract, and automobile liability. John has extensive experience in resolving catastrophic injury and death cases for Fortune 500 companies involved in construction site and industrial accidents including exposure cases and episodic losses. He has appeared in the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the California District Courts of Appeal. He supervised the claims office of a general managing agent of general aviation aircraft on behalf of London reinsurers pursuant to a treaty arrangement.
