Throughout his nineteen year career, Mr. West has utilized his advocacy skills as a trial lawyer to represent clients in daunting damage claims arising from catastrophic injury and wrongful death. Mr. West has vast experience handling such claims, involving the deaths of adults and children, loss of sight, loss of hearing, amputation, paralysis, brain injury, scarring, and burn injuries. Mr. West understands the extreme impact such claims can have on clients, from both a financial and emotional perspective, when defending themselves in front of a jury. Successful resolution of such claims requires aggressive representation, balanced with an appreciation of the human sympathies associated with claims of this nature.

Claims of catastrophic injury and wrongful death are not unique to any one practice area, but can arise from a myriad of accident scenarios involving many different legal doctrines. Mr. West has defended his clients against these damages arising out of homeowner/commercial premises liability claims for dangerous conditions, construction site incidents, third-party criminal assaults, mold exposure, intoxication/impairment allegations, animal owner liability, mechanical operation of different vehicle types, and a wide variety of intentional torts including battery, hate crimes, sexual assault, and false arrest.
