Roger Perkins is a partner in Morris, Polich & Purdy LLP’s San Diego office. Roger’s practice, while focusing principally on the defense of pharmaceutical, medical device and biotech companies product liability and commercial litigation, also includes representing clients in toxic and mass torts as well as environmental litigation. He served as National Coordinating Counsel for a major defendant in the Latex Glove Litigation. Mr. Perkins has represented manufacturers in the defense of claims involving products such as ventilators, apnea monitors, heart-lung bypass machines, needles and syringes, catheters, lasers, spinal surgery equipment, cold therapy products, surgical tacks, patient lifts, wheelchairs, prosthetic devices and implants and waterless surgical scrubs. He has also represented companies in the defense of claims involving dietary supplements, zinc nasal sprays and hormone replacement drugs. Roger currently serves as counsel for medical device manufacturers in class action lawsuits involving the U.C.L.A Willed Body Program and cold therapy devices. He has extensive experience representing clients in commercial cases, ranging from contract breaches to complex violations of the California Wholesale Representatives Contractual Relations Act of 1990 and B & P Code Sec. 17200 claims. Mr. Perkins has tried over 35 cases to jury verdict, is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a Master in the American Inns of Court, Enright Chapter, and served as an instructor at the IADC’s Trial Academy in 2004.
