    Wendi J. Frisch is an attorney in the Los Angeles office of Morris Polich & Purdy LLP. She is a member of the firm’s Life Sciences, Products Liability and Insurance practice groups.

    In the practice areas of Life Sciences and Products Liability, Wendi represents the manufacturers and distributors of prescription and non-prescription medications and supplements, medical devices and other products. She has also defended clients in cases involving toxic torts, with specific emphasis on asbestos, chemical exposure and soil and groundwater contamination. Wendi has successfully obtained dismissals of her clients through motions to dismiss, demurrers and motions for summary judgment, avoiding the expense and uncertainty of prolonged litigation and trial. She has served as national coordinating counsel and as regional counsel in various cases ranging from those involving hundreds of plaintiffs to actions involving a single plaintiff, and is experienced with multi-district (MDL) and coordinated litigation.

    In the practice area of Insurance, Wendi litigates complex insurance coverage disputes on behalf of insurance company clients. Her experience includes coverage and bad faith litigation concerning business disputes, hazardous waste or pollution claims, asbestos exposure and automobile accidents. She has also represented insurers in prosecuting or defending claims for contribution, indemnity and subrogation. Wendi has authored numerous opinion, reservation of rights and denial letters, advising insurance company clients with respect to their obligations for first and third party claims under general liability, employers’ liability, professional liability, auto liability, homeowners and excess and umbrella policies.
